The Ethereal network protocol analyzer has changed its title to Wireshark for Mac. The name may be new, however, the program is exactly the same. Wireshark's strong features allow it to be the instrument of choice for system troubleshooting, protocol development, and education globally.

Wireshark for Mac was composed by media experts round the world, and is a good instance of the ability of open source. Wireshark is used by network professionals around the globe such as evaluation, troubleshooting, software and protocol development and instruction.

The app has all the normal features you would expect in a protocol analyzer, and many features not found in any other item.
