Make the most of your next outdoor activity or relive the trips you've taken. Garmin BaseCamp lets you plan outdoor activities, arrange your data and share your experiences with others. Use Garmin BaseCamp to organize your next biking, hiking, motorcycling, driving or off-roading excursion.
Research the Terrain
BaseCamp displays your topographic map info in 2-D or even 3-D on your computer screen, including contour lines and elevation profiles. Load map information from your handheld device, or import maps you've purchased or downloaded on DVD or even microSD™ card. Consider our TOPO chain maps, which supply detail on a scale of 1:100,000 or 1:24,000.
BaseCamp lets you geotag photos, linking them with particular waypoints. You can see the exact scenery at any given place. Transfer the photos for your handheld device, publish photos straight to Picasa™, or email your geotagged photos directly to family or friends in order that they can navigate right to your favorite places in the future.
Make and Share Adventures
Garmin Adventures provides a free, interactive way to talk about your hikes, bicycle rides, road trips and much more. Using BaseCamp, you are able to combine track logs, waypoints, geotagged photographs, YouTube® videos and more into an adventure which gets printed online. After that you can email a hyperlink for your adventure to family and friends, discuss it on social media sites or even post it in your favourite forums. BaseCamp even makes it easy to follow in the footsteps of other travelers by allowing you to look for and download adventures.
Transfer Satellite Images
Using BaseCamp and a BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscription, you can move an unlimited quantity of satellite images to your outdoor or physical fitness device and seamlessly integrate those pictures into your maps to get a genuine representation of your surroundings. It makes it easy to scout campsites, resources of water, potential hazards and much more. If you prefer raster topographic maps, you can even download BirdsEye Select maps and cover only for the information you download.
