DriveDx for Mac is an advanced drive-health diagnostic and monitoring utility. Save yourself from data loss and downtime that's connected with sudden drive failures. Don't be concerned about losing your important information, music, and photographs. Unlike many driveway utilities, DriveDx not just tracks the drive's built-in S.M.A.R.T. standing, but also assesses the fluctuations of all drive health indicators that are closely related to SSD or HDD failures (such as SSD workout / endurance, reallocated bad sectors, offline bad sectors, impending sectors, I/O errors, and much more ) and alerts the user immediately when anything else goes wrong. Our drive-health diagnostic calculations are based on recent research in the area. The application offers access to all sufficient drive-diagnostic information to meet any system administrator. DriveDx is the first utility of its type to have a real user-friendly, Mac-style interface.
When evaluating the state of various drives, DriveDx for Mac may use different (specialized) heuristic algorithms, based on the drive model and even its firmware version. Among the key benefits of this software is that the state of HDD and SSD drives is assessed using different calculations (DriveDx has different sets of algorithms and rules for HDD and SSD drives), because many state signs of HDD drives are not applicable or create no sense in the event of an SSD drive.
Advanced Drive Health Diagnostics
Regular diagnostic tools simply check the built-in S.M.A.R.T. status of this drive, which offers the consumer with minimal info regarding the actual state of the physical drive. Rather than these tools, DriveDx assesses the present state of the drive using all the drive health indicators that are most likely to point to a potential drive issue (for instance, SSD workout / write endurance, I/O errors, impending sectors, reallocated bad businesses, etc).
Drive Requires (Pre-fail) State Detection
Unlike most other tools, DriveDx detects not only"OK/Verified" and"Failed" drive wellness states, but also the"Failing (Pre-fail)" induce country. Thanks to that, you will detect problems much earlier than when using any other SMART monitoring utilities. This usually means that you have more chances to save your crucial data before any data loss actually occurs.
Real-time Drive Health Tracking
When any matter or problem can be found, it alarms instantly. DriveDx acts as an"early warning system" for pending drive issues. Because of this, you've got more opportunities to save your crucial data before any data loss actually happens.
Early Warning System
DriveDx features a distinctive multi-tier warning system that will inform the user about deviations in the normal state of drive attributes. It constantly monitors each S.M.A.R.T. feature (and its shift dynamics) and starts continuously warning the user as the drive degrades. Over the starting stages of drive degradation, the consumer will receive notifications of this Warning type, then Failing (signifies this push parameter is in a pre-failure state) and just then Failed.
DriveDx allows you to control and start diagnostic self-tests of SSD / HDD. The main goal is to quickly identify if the drive is faulty. Usually self-tests include a collection of test patterns like electrical and/or mechanical performance tests in addition to the read performance evaluation of the drive. Based on self-test type it will read scan of a small area or the whole media.
Modern SSDs and HDDs Support
When assessing the condition of various drives, DriveDx may use different heuristic algorithms depending on the drive model as well as its firmware version. One of the key benefits of the software is that the condition of HDD and SSD pushes is assessed using different calculations, since many state signs of HDD drives aren't applicable or make no sense for SSD drives.
Automated E-mail Reports
The consumer can get problem notifications and drive position reports to email. Reporting could be configured on the basis of different standards. As a result of this feature, the consumer does not need to have physical access to a specific computer all of the time, which is particularly useful for all types of server rooms, data centers, etc..
A modern, good-looking and user-friendly interface
DriveDx for Mac is one of the first drive diagnostic instruments made in the true Mac style. All interface components are intuitive and clear, so it is only going to take you a couple of minutes to learn the basics and begin using the program. When an issue is recognized, you will see a notification on the background and the status bar will show the status of your drives.
Drive Free Space Tracking
Mac OS X and applications might fail due to an inability to allocate storage space. In addition, low disk space might lead to disk fragmentation. To avoid data loss and to ensure the continuous functioning of your computer it is crucial to track the amount of available storage space on your drive. DriveDx can automatically monitor free disk space and will alert user immediately if user defined free space threshold exceeded.
